Cristiano Ronaldo not feeling the pressure, insists Real Madrid coach Pellegrini

World record signing Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench as a second half substitute to score Real Madrid's third goal against Espanyol and send his side joint top of the Spanish league at the weekend.

Having come under a certain degree of criticism for not "proving his worth" since his £80 million move from Manchester United this summer, Ronaldo came on for Karim Benzema to net his second goal in as many matches.

Earlier this week, Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano said he felt the Fifa World Player of the Year was "somewhat nervous" about living up the expectations supporters have of him.
Real coach Pellegrini however is not of the same belief and after the club's 3-0 victory over Espanyol - which also saw Esteban Granero and Guti hit the back of the net - he said: "I don't think Ronaldo has a weight on his shoulders.

"I think that people are looking at him through a magnifying glass. He scored against Deportivo (La Coruna) and again today. The player is adapting to the league and to the team. I don't think he has any problems and he looks calm to me."
