Blatter: World Cup doesn't need Ronaldo, Messi

FIFA insists it doesn't matter if Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi don't make the World Cup.

Ronaldo's Portugal and Messi's Argentina are on the brink of World Cup qualifying failure, but FIFA president Sepp Blatter says: "If they are not there, there will be new stars in the World Cup. There are always new stars.

"This will not affect the World Cup, but in any case, the business side of things has nothing to do with the players."
