Portugal keep watchful eye on Ronaldo

The player receives great praise from the Portuguese media and his team-mates on the national team

Portugal's World Cup future is at stake. They need to defeat Hungary on Saturday and Malta on 14 October to make it to the championship. In order to do this they need Cristiano Ronaldo, the best Portuguese player of all time. The Madridista is training with the team now that he has recovered from his ankle injury. The entire world keeps a watchful eye on him.

Chelsea full back Jose Bosingwa is also injured. Juventus midfielder Tiago will miss the first clash. On the other hand, Bruno Alves has completely recovered from his injury and will be able to play.

There is much at stake for Portugal against Hungary. With two games to go, both sides have 13 points. Denmark are group leaders with 18 points, followed by Sweden, who have 15. These two teams still have to come face to face. Portugal's last qualifying match will be against Malta. They need to win both their games and wait for favourable results to make it to the World Cup
