super sevilla deserved it:pellegrini

real madrid coach manual pellegrini was left to rue "defensive errors" as his side suffered their first Primera Division defeat of the season, losing 2-1 to a "deserving" Sevilla side at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.

Goals from Jesus Navas and Renato either side of a Pepe equaliser gave Sevilla all three points, condemning Madrid to their first loss this season.

"It was an even game. Sevilla are in good form and deserved to win, although we had a chance to level at the end," he told a press conference afterwards.

"We made a couple of errors for the goals and although Sevilla defended well, we also did some good things in attack. I worry that we have conceded two headed goals."

Despite the defeat Pellegrini remained confident that it would not have a big impact on Madrid's season.

He added, "At this stage of the league it is important to be at the top of the table. Sevilla are, like us, three points behind Barcelona, but what happens in the future is not decided by this."
